Mould stains on the ceiling of the sleeping roof are a result of insufficient ventilation or that the mattress was still wrapped in plastic. It is also possible that the roof was closed even though the fabric bellows had not dried out.
Ensure a constant exchange of air through frequent and targeted ventilation. This is the only way to prevent condensation and mould from forming in cool weather. If heating output, air distribution and ventilation are harmonised, a pleasant living climate can be created in cool seasons. To avoid draughts, close the air vents on the dashboard and set the air distribution of the base vehicle to recirculated air. Ventilate the vehicle well from time to time when it is parked for long periods, especially in summer, as heat build-up is possible. Ventilate not only the interior, but also the storage compartments accessible from the outside. If the vehicle is parked in a closed room (e.g. garage), also ventilate the parking space. Condensation can lead to mould growth.
