Independently of the manufacturer's guarantee, we also offer a 10-year weatherproof guarantee. This applies to our models registered for guarantee from January 1st, 2020.
It begins on the day the vehicle is taken over, but no later than 18 months after factory delivery to the dealer.
To maintain it, annual water ingress tests are mandatory and must be paid for. They must be carried out by a Bürstner service partner or dealer within a period of +/- 2 months from the anniversary of the initial registration or the date of takeover (see also guarantee date). The entries in the service booklet with the stamp affixed and in our guarantee online portal serve as proof of the inspections carried out. A prerequisite for the guarantee is in any case the punctual performance of the inspections prescribed for the vehicle. The weatherproof guarantee expires if the inspections are not carried out in due time. Please refer to the instruction manual in the vehicle for the separate conditions.
In general, the procedure in the event of a leak is as follows:
The vehicle must be made available to the specialist, an authorised Bürstner service partner or dealer for assessment. If there is a justified leak after the correct inspection according to the manufacturer's specifications, the Bürstner service partner or dealer in charge will contact our company to discuss the further procedure. As a rule, the Bürstner service partner or dealer will then promptly receive the repair approval for a timely repair within the scope of the weatherproof guarantee. The weatherproof guarantee refers to water ingress from the outside to the inside.
The weatherproof guarantee only covers correct repair work. Claims for conversion and reduction as well as travel costs or other indirect costs are excluded from this guarantee.
